The yarn is the by product of the colourful saris that women wear in India. It is the loose ends of saris collected from Industrial mills in India that is handspun into yarn by women’s co-operatives in south India and the Himalyayas, spinning and knitting the yarn enables the women to earn much needed income from their cottage industry.
